What happens if I lose Lives in Pixel Lineage?

This is the SIM question: what happens if you lose your lives. Fail a fight, lose 1 Life. Recaps: you return to the Castle short one Life, or a paid in-battle revive exists (treat that as Unverified until you see the live prompt). At 0 / 3, that hero lineage ends. You are not deleting the account.

What a wipe does not take

Castle building repairs stay. Inn storage stays. Ranch hatched pets stay. Hall of Lineage ranks stay. Race, Talent, and Base Class on the dead hero do not carry as a playable kit — the next lineage rolls again. Hub systems: progression.

Recaps also say codes can grant extra Lives, and that sitting at 1/3 is a good time to strip gear rather than gamble Floor 10. Confirm the live HUD before you treat strip-and-reroll as a rule. Energy is the other meter that decides whether you take that Life hit.

After Lives: first Normal floor, then a class you can time

How does Energy work in Pixel Lineage combat?

Recaps for pixel lineage combat Energy: you start a fight at 1, you gain +1 each turn, and the cap is 10. Skill, Guard, and Meditate spend it. Attack timing still matters when the bar is low. Numbers stay recap until the HUD agrees.

Cap is not a dump button

Hitting 10 does not mean you must Skill. Trash packs are how you arrive at Floor 10 with nothing left. If Vesper’s recap extra Energy is on your Race, you still Dodge — extra bar is not a free Life. Race notes: races.

Once you know the meter, the five named actions are the menu.

When do I Attack, Skill, Guard, Meditate, or Potion?

Your turn shows a menu, not an auto-battle skip. Recaps name five actions. Use them as jobs: damage, spend, soak, refill, heal. Confirm costs on the live panel.

ActionWhenRecap job
AttackYour turnBasic hit; timing window can add damage
SkillYour turn · spends EnergyBigger kit move — do not dump on trash
GuardYour turn · spends Energy (recap)Soak incoming before a boss wind-up
MeditateYour turn · spends Energy (recap)Recover / reset when the pack is safe
PotionYour turnHP or status — keep one for Floor 10

Enemy turn is a different pair

Guard is your-turn spend. Dodge and Block are enemy-turn prompts. Mixing those two sentences is how people Guard, then still eat a full hit because they ignored the QTE. The next section is that prompt.

How do Pixel Lineage combat prompts work?

Combat is not a pure menu. Recaps: your Attack shows a timing window; a successful click can add damage. Enemy hits show Dodge or Block. Click in the window. Miss enough of those and you spend Lives instead of Energy.

Practice on Normal trash

First session: Normal Act 1, Warrior or Bard, learn the window before you open Hard. Recaps describe Attack as a click-slide on Warrior and a different cadence on Thief — kits on classes. A Bard heal does not skip Dodge.

If the window feels unfair, you are probably on a difficulty multiplier you did not mean to pick. Spend vs save is the mid-run decision.

When should I spend Energy vs save it?

Community recaps for pixel lineage combat decision order: identify the highest threat, kill healers and AoE first, and keep one recover or Guard for the boss. Situation → action beats dumping Skill because the bar is full.

  • Do01Name the scariest enemy before you tap Skill
  • Do02Keep Dodge/Block as a separate habit from Guard
  • Do03Hold one Potion or Guard into Floor 10
  • Do04Vote Camp when HP or Lives are already thin
  • Do05Do not open Hard or Nightmare to “learn faster”

Path Cards are combat too

Between floors you vote Camp, Shop, Scout, and later Trainer’s Shrine. Camp is the recap recover. Skipping it with 1 Life to “save time” is how lineages end with a full Inn. Path list: progression. Difficulty multipliers are why the same Skill that cleared Normal evaporates on Nightmare.

How do Hard and Nightmare change a fight?

Modes in recaps include Normal, Hard, Nightmare, Endless Torment, Arena, and raids. Public third-party multipliers: Normal ×1, Hard ×1.8, Nightmare ×2.8. Treat every multiplier as Unverified until an in-game panel or patch note matches. First lineage stays Normal.

Normal×1UnverifiedDefault SET OUT
Hard×1.8UnverifiedAfter you keep Lives on Normal
Nightmare×2.8UnverifiedNot a tutorial
Endless Torment / Arena / raidsTBAUnverifiedDo not import other-game numbers

Multiplier is not a Lives refund

×1.8 does not give you extra Lives. It asks the same 3-Life hero to Dodge a heavier hit. Recaps say harder modes drop better gear — still not a reason to burn the first Warrior. Starter lock: beginner guide. Unofficial class letters: tier list.

If a recap quotes different numbers, keep this table Unverified rather than averaging fan math into a fake official rate.

What next

Next: take Dodge into the first Normal floor on the beginner guide, then lock a class whose timing you can actually hit on classes.
